Della Kennedy, 91, of Webster City, died Friday, June 24, 2011 at Crestview Senior Living. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Bibb officiating. Burial will be prior to the memorial service in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and until 9:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Della Marie Klein, daughter of Frank and Mabel Woodmansee Klein, was born July 7, 1919 at Webster City. She attended Webster City schools and graduated from Lincoln High. On January 24, 1943 she married Marvin Dean Kennedy at her parent's home near Webster City. The couple lived near Kamrar until 1949 when they moved to a farm north of Webster City. She worked as a secretary for the City of Webster City, until she became a full-time farm wife and mother. Marvin died December 9, 1996. She moved to Crestview in 1998.

Mrs. Kennedy is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Francis and Julie Kennedy of Des Moines; David and Ann Kennedy of Stanhope; grandchildren, Mark (Amy) Kennedy of Webster City; Mike (Robin) Kennedy of Ames; Joe Kennedy of Des Moines; Erin Kennedy (Bobby Jo Pohlman) of Nevada; four great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Marlys) Klein of Carlisle; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Keith Klein.

She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and the Woolstock Birthday Club.
