Annetta Francis Berg, 84, Webster City, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. John Grebner officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home and prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.

Annetta Francis Peterson, daughter of Frank and Anna Chantland Peterson, was born Jan. 22, 1917 on a farm near Pocahontas. She graduated from Dayton High School in 1935. She worked in Fort Dodge for the Jeffries family prior to her marriage. On June 24, 1940 she married Eugene Marvin Berg at Harcourt. The couple farmed near Dayton and in 1942, they moved to a farm east of Webster City. In 1959, they moved to a farm southeast of Blairsburg. The couple retired from farming and moved to Webster City in 1993. Mr. Berg died on Oct. 13, 1998.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Don and Jane Berg of Ottumwa, DeWayne and Cathy Berg of Ellsworth, three grandsons and their spouses, Todd and Jody Berg of Blairsburg, Dr. Tom and Erin Berg of Iowa City, Dillon Berg of Ottumwa; two granddaughters and their husbands, Tricia and Jason King, Herrin, Ill., Kimberly and Brian Buford of Minneapolis, Minn.; three great-grandsons, Seth, Brady and Cole Berg; one great-granddaughter, Kaylyn King.

In addition to her husband, Eugene, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Berg was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and active in church circles and Tuesday morning Bible study.
