E. Jane Cayler, 84, Clarion, died on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001 at the Wright Medical Center in Clarion.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 at the Willim Funeral Home, Clarion, with Rev. LaVonne Kaasa of the First United Methodist Church in Clarion officiating. Burial was in the Williams Cemetery.

E. Jane Cayler was born on July 18, 1917 in Lead, South Dakota, the daughter of Ross and Bessie Richardson Toffelmeir. She graduated from Lead High School.

She married Sam Cayler in September of 1935. They ranched in South Dakota until 1942 when they moved and settled in Williams, where they ran several businesses. Sam passed away in 1974 and Jane moved to Clarion in 1976. She was employed at C&R Buick.

In 1981, Jane was united in marriage with Lawrence Cayler and they resided in Clarion. Lawrence passed away in 1991. Jane enjoyed reading, painting, church circle, knitting, embroidery and above all, her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Lynn Cayler, Ron and Jerrine Cayler, all of Galt; four grandchildren and spouses, Karen and Rick Ehmen, Matt and Julie Cayler, Robin and Doug Bisel and Rob Cayler; three great-grandchildren, Rhett Ehman, Sam Cayler and Mekenzie Bisel. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, brothers and sisters.
