DIES VERY SUDDENLY

Young Man Takes Sick Sunday and Dies Monday.

Fred Jacobson, a prominent young farmer residing about five miles southeast of Stratford, was suddenly taken with violent pains in the stomach Sunday afternoon about 5 o'clock and died Monday morning at 9 o'clock.

For many years he had been subject to chronic stomach trouble, which at times was very severe and had threatened to take a fatal turn, but until now he had survived it. He was planning a trip to the State Fair at Des Moines Sunday evening.

A little more than a year ago he was married to Miss Maud Guthrie and they moved to a farm belonging to the father of the deceased. About two weeks ago a child was born to them and Mrs. Jacobson was just up from the sick bed when the severe blow came. The funeral was held yesterday and the remains laid to rest in the Olson cemetery. Deceased was about 27 years old.

JACOBSON

Fred Jacobson was born in the year 1876 in East Marion, Hamilton county, Iowa and died August 28th, 1905, at his home in East Marion. He having lived 28 years and 8 months.

He has been ailing for a number of years with stomach troubles but has not been so sick but what he could attend to his duties. On Sunday evening he took very sick and Monday morning passed to the beyond. In the year 1904 on the 19th day of April he was married to Maud Guthrie. One child was born to them.

The funeral was held at the farm home at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 30th, 1905. The services being conducted by Rev. E.S. Benjamin, of Stratford after which the remains were taken to the Olson cemetery in Marion Township.
