Daily Freeman Journal, Webster City, Iowa, Monday, December 31, 1951

Mrs. Emma Louisa Isaacson was born on Oct. 2, 1865 in Sweden and died at Mary Greeley hospital in Ames Dec. 24, 1951 at the age of 86 years, 2 months and 22 days.

She was united in marriage in Chicago to Mr. Oscar Isaacson where they lived for a few years. To that union was born 7 children, 4 sons and 3 daughters.

They left Chicago and came to a farm southwest of Stanhope where they resided until 1925. In May, 1949, they moved to Algona and then to Boone. She loved the farm and made many visits to her son, Arthur Isaacson.

She was united with the South Marion church on July 24, 1892. She was a member of the church for over 58 years. She was an active member of the Aid Society, and helped to build that society when it was under Swedish organization.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, and two infant sons. She leaves to mourn her departure, two sons and two daughters: Arthur Isaacson, Stratford; Wallace Isaacson, Boone; Mrs. Otto Westling, Algona; Mrs. Justin Anderson, Lone Rock; and also 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren as well as a large number of friends and neighbors.

Pallbearers were Fred Patterson, Henry Stromert, Floyd Swedlund, Ed Doran, Mike Blaess an Edward Lebo.

Mrs. Verlyn Fry and Mrs. Edgar Crim were on the floral committee and Mrs. William Holstrum and Mrs. Roy Berquist sang. -contributed
