Brett Day, 31, Webster City, died Jan. 4, 1997 in a car, train accident in Duncombe. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home, with Rev. Marvin Smith officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today until the time of service.

Brett Mitchell Day, son of Robert and Marcia Ryan Day, was born Feb. 6, 1965 in Webster City. He attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School and at the age of 12, moved to Des Moines. He later returned to Webster City and attended Webster City High School. He moved to Des Moines and was employed at Wright Tree Service for several years. He was also employed in construction and painting work. He returned to Webster City in 1994. He had been employed at Tasler Pallet for the past year. He was also a pit crew member of the Dilley Racing Team.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Day; special friend, Diane Urich, both of Webster City; his parents, Robert Day, Hollywood, Calif., Marcia Day, Des Moines; and sister, Bridgette Day, Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
