November 23, 1994Donna Erickson, 79, of Stratford, Iowa passed away at the Hamilton County Hospital in Webster City, Iowa on Thursday, November 17, 1994, due to complications of kidney failure.
She was born on January 19, 1915 in Rome, Georgia.
On June 20, 1965 she married Waller E. Erickson at Clarinda, Iowa.
Donna was employed as a housekeeper at the Clarinda Hospital in Clarinda, Iowa, the Woodward State Hospital in Woodward, Iowa and Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa before retiring. She and her husband moved to Stratford in 1979 from Mercer, Missouri.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and one step-son.
Survivors include her husband, Waller of Stratford, Iowa; five step-sons Clinton Erickson of Reno, NV; Durrell Erickson of Brandon, FL; Charles Drennen of Yorktown, IA; Sam Drennen of Council Bluffs; Bob Drennen of Lenox, IA; two step-daughters Helen Ward of Burlington Junction, MO; Betty Pfeiffer of David City, NE; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Monday, November 21, 1994 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Stratford with Rev. Sue-Ellen Sherman officiating.
Interment was in the South Marion Cemetery.
Stark-Welin Funeral Directors in Stratford was in charge of arrangements.
