Crane

Robert Crane, one of the pioneers of this community, died Friday morning, Nov. 17th. Mr. Crane was born near Yarmouth, England, May 23, 1829, and united in marriage to Mary A. Kittle at Yarmouth, Norfolk County, England, in 1851. Came to America in 1853, moved to Canada in 1854 and in 1877 moved to Stratford, where he has resided for twenty-eight years.

The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the residence at 1:00 o'clock and at the M.E. church at 1:30 o'clock conducted by Rev. E.S. Benjamin. The remains were laid to rest in the Olson cemetery.

Robert Crane was an industrious, honest, kind and sympathetic man, loved and esteemed by all who knew him. He leaves a wife and six children and many warm friends to mourn his loss.
