Chester S. Hoversten, 90, of Iowa Falls, died Monday, August 31 at the Scenic Manor Nursing Home in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Williams with Rev. Stanley Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery in Williams. Visitation will be tonight at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls from 6-8 p.m.

Chester S. Hoversten was born October 2, 1907 at Williams, the son of Thomas and Anna Anderson Hoversten. He attended country school. He was a charter member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Williams, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling.

He was married to Berniece Reingardt on Nov 29, 1931.

Survivors are his wife, Berniece, four sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Loretta Hoversten, Lodi, WI; Chester J. Jr and Clenora Hoversten, Minong, WI; Duane and LaVonne Hoversten of Alden; Paul and Rita Hoversten of Iowa Falls; one daughter and son-in-law, Berniece and David Lancaster of Alden; 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; four sisters Edna Everman of Iowa Falls, Birdie Inks of Hubbard, Alice Mathias of Indianola, and Hazel Westwick of Ellsworth; two brothers Gaylord of Iowa Falls and Glen of Afton.
