Forrest P. Rusk, 84 of Eagle Grove, a former Mulberry Center area farmer, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 1998 at the Rotary Ann Care Center in Eagle Grove. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 8 at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City with Barbara Chapman officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Webster City. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday.

Forrest Porter Rusk, son of Clarence and Alice Champlin Rusk, was born April 6, 1914 on a farm northeast of Belmond. In 1917, the family moved to a farm south of Galt. He attended rural school and graduated from Clarion High School in 1932. The family moved to a farm near Mulberry Center in 1934. He started farming with his father and brother. On June 28, 1953 he married Goldie Anna McNamee at Nashua. The couple farmed in the Mulberry Center area until June 1998, when they moved to the Rotary Ann Apartments in Eagle Grove. He moved to the Rotary Ann Care Center in September.

Survivors are his wife, Goldie; a sister, Aleta Rossotti of Atwater, CA., sister-in-law, Dorothy Rusk of Mesa, AZ., a nephew, Daniel Rusk of Reno, NV., a niece, Karen Kranz of Watertown, SD., four great-nieces and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Duane Rusk.

He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, Stonega Elevator and the Farm Bureau.
