Eleanor Greiner, 97, passed away February 21, 2019 in Fairhope, Al. Eleanor grew up in Webster City, graduating from Lincoln High and then from Drake University. She taught 4th grade in the Blairsburg and Webster City schools for over 25 years. She was a long time active member of the Webster City Church of Christ as well as being active in many other organizations in Webster City. She was a devoted member of Belforest Christian Church in Alabama.
She is survived by a son Dale(Leslie) Greiner, daughter Anne(Mike) Gelsie, brother John Fred Alexander and multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Clayr and Telva Alexander, brother Max Alexander, sister Melvarose Knoll, and son Neil Greiner. She was known for her smile, her caring nature and her boundless energy.
