Katie C. Fielder, 93, Bentonville, Ark., a former Webster City resident, died Thursday, July 27, 2000 at her daughter's home in Bentonville. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Mervyn Moberly officiating. Burial will be in the Cass Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Sunday and prior to the service on Monday.
Katie Caroline Beisner, daughter of Fred and Tressa Singer Beisner, was born Nov. 6, 1906 on a farm in Cass Township. She attended rural schools in that area and also Webster City schools. On Jan. 27, 1926 she married Thomas Earl Fielder at Boone. The couple farmed in Cass Township. Mr. Fielder died on Jan. 24, 1962. She had resided in Arkansas for eight years.
Survivors are sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Lorraine Fielder, Williams, William (Bill) and Diana Fielder of Webster City, daughters and sons-in-law, Gertrude Maye (Trudy) and Rodney Larson, Webster City, Grace and Robert Gillis of Bentonville, Ark., 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Bernice Crawford of Fairfield Bay, Ark., Edna Kennedy of Jewell; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a great-granddaughter, brother, Antone Beisner, sisters, Marie Dick, Erma Kennedy and Tressa Bauer.
She was a member of the Bentonville Church of Christ, a former member of the Church of Christ in Webster City, and a member of the Eastern Star.
