Richard Ruhl, 70, Iowa Falls, passed away Sunday evening at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services for Richard Ruhl will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls, with burial at 3 p.m. in the Graceland Cemetery, Webster City. Military honors will be provided by the Alden American Legion Post #201. Visitaiton will be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Linn's Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with the family present between 6 and 8 p.m. There will be a Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge Memorial Service at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Richard C. Ruhl was born March 19, 1930 at Webster City, the son of O.D. and Estee Adams Ruhl. He attended Webster City Community Schools graduating with the class of 1948. He served with the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1953 during the Korean Conflict. On December 26, 1954 he was united in marriage to Diana Holtkamp at Webster City. He was a truck driver for Martin Marietta in Alden and had formerly driven for Bailey Transfer and Elkin Brothers, both of Iowa Falls. He also had owned a service station. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls, Elks Lodge #1674, Iowa Falls, and American Legion Post #201 of Alden.

Survivors are his wife, Diana, Iowa Falls, his son and daughter-in-law, Dennis "Bud" and Kayleen Ruhl, New London, Minn., a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Lyle Leggett of Grayslake, Ill.; three grandchildren, Ryan Ruhl, New London, Minn., and Adam and Tyler Leggett of Grayslake, Ill.; one sister and brother-in-law, Dorris and Ralph Borcherding of Denison, two sisters-in-law, Madonna Ruhl of Melrose, Gladys Ruhl of Princeton, Wis. He was preceded in death by his parents, O.D. and Estee Ruhl; three brothers, Archie, Vernie and Pearl Ruhl; three sisters, Marie Schweppe, Opal Watson and Evalyn McKeel.
