Eva M. Tracy, 75, Webster City, died Thursday, June 8, 2000 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Memorial services will be held at Friendship Haven's Chapel in Fort Dodge on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ron Kitterman officiating. A private burial service will be held at the Graceland Cemetery in Webster City. The family suggests memorials to be directed to Meals on Wheels, Kendall Young Library Video Collection or the Good Sam Fund at Friendship Haven.

Eva M. Tracy, daughter of Mary Eva Blair Ritter and Franklin Clarence Ritter, was born on Sept. 27, 1924 in Afton. She graduated from Afton High School and attended Creston Junior College before graduating from Drake University with a B.A. in Elementary education in 1963. She was a teacher for more than 20 years in several Iowa communities, most recently Webster City and Turkey Valley Community Schools. She resided in Webster City and moved to Friendship Haven Apartments since 1996.

Survivors are her daughters, Eloise Tracy Kennedy, Cave Creek, Ariz., daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Russ Naden, Webster City, a sister, Frances Balius, West Des Moines; a sister Frances Balius, Webster City [incorrect but typed as found in newspaper], four grandchildren, Todd Kennedy, LaMirada, Calif., Tracy Naden, New York, N.Y., Danielle Kennedy, Dallas, Texas and Tricia Naden, Minneapolis, Minn., and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Stanley, Charles, Franklin Clarence Jr., and James Dale Ritter.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
