Estle Orin Short, 40, died suddenly Saturday at his farm home four miles east of Webster City, death being attributed to a heart attack.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Greenfield Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Howard Perrine officiating. Burial will be made in the Cass Center cemetery.

Estle Orin Short, son of Orin and Erma Short, was born Aug. 21, 1925 at Webster City. He grew to young manhood and received his education in the schools at Webster City.

He was married to Viola Crystal on Oct. 20, 1946 and the couple had since farmed in the Webster City community.

He is survived by his wife; three sons and one daughter, Darle, Duane, Dennis and Diane, his mother Mrs. Orin Short; five sisters and two brothers Mrs. Viola Crosby, Webster City, Mrs. Vesta Lowish, Summitt, N.H., Mrs. Lela Wemhoff, Higbee, Mo., Mrs. Shirley Wangler, Stratford, Mrs. Phyllis Richardson, Webster City, Gary Short of Cedar Falls and Robert Short of Madison, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother who died in infancy.

Mr. Short was a member of the Church of Christ.
