Helen B. Wilson, 86, Webster City, died Monday, May 8, 2000 at the Southfield Care Center. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Revs. John Grebner and Doug Bullock-Tiffany officiating. Burial will be prior to the memorial service in the Graceland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral Home.

Helen Esther Berven, daughter of Severt and Frankie Blue Berven, was born Nov. 24, 1913 on a farm south of Kamrar. She attended Kamrar Public School and graduated from Kamrar High School in 1930. She attended the Fort Dodge Business College and Thompson's Beauty College in Des Moines. On Oct. 27, 1937 she married Herschel Wilson in Missouri. The couple resided in Webster City for 50 years, retiring in 1982. She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 14, 1970. She moved to Southfield in October, 1999.

Survivors are her brothers, Boyd Berven, Webster City, Lyle Berven, Kamrar, Stanley Berven, Abilene, Kan., several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ruth Circle and was active in numerous church projects.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hamilton County Hospice/Respite or the Trinity Organ fund.
