Margaret Atchison, 61, Webster City, died Sunday, March 12, 2000 at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Rev. John J. Walsh, celebrant. Burial will be in the Our Lady of Good Counsel Cemetery in Moorland. A Rosary will be held 6:35 p.m. Tuesday followed by a Scripture service at 7 p.m. at the Foster Funeral home. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home and at the church from 9 a.m. to the time of the Mass on Wednesday.

Margaret Colleen Lawrence, daughter of Claude and Helen McCarville Lawrence, was born July 6, 1938 at Fort Dodge. She received her education at Webster City, Humboldt-St. Mary's, Livermore, IA., and graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster City in 1957. On August 6, 1960, she married David Dean Atchison at the Naval Air Base at Alameda, CA. The couple lived in Livermore, CA until 1974 when they moved to Webster City. While in Livermore, she was an IBM programmer. In Webster City, she cleaned homes, then worked at the Webster City Day Care Center in food service management for nine years. She retired due to failing health.

Survivors are her husband, David; sons and daughters-in-law, David and DeAnn Atchison, Des Moines, John and Tammie Atchison of Sioux City, Paul and Amy Atchison of Duncombe, grandchildren, Jennifer, Mary, Cera, Devin, John Jr., and Jacob Atchison; sisters, Mary Craven of Hartley, Alice Bibler of Mt. Blanchard, OH., Millie Oleson, Webster City; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Delores Lawrence.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
