Eric James Olmstead, 16, Englewood, Ohio, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000 following an accident. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Kindred Funeral Home, 400 Union Blvd., Englewood, OH, with Rev. David Lovely officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery in Englewood. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund being established in memory of Eric Olmstead.

Eric James Olmstead was the son of Dave and Sheri Geiger Olmstead. He was a member of the Northmont High School Class of 2001, and had been involved with the Networking Club. He was active with the SAY Soccer Association both as a player and referee. He had worked at Englewood McDonalds.

Survivors are his parents, Dave and Sheri Olmstead, sister, Tiffany Olmstead, all of Englewood, grandparents, Larry and Jan Olmstead of Webster City, John and Wahneta Geiger of Bridgewater, NJ, aunts and uncles, Ron and Laurie Epps, Webster City, Brenda Olmstead, Hampton, Martin and JoAnn Bush of Raritan, NJ., and Glenn and Debbie Felice of Bound Brook, NJ., many other family members and special friends. He was preceded in death by uncles Rick and John Olmstead.

[his grandparents, Larry & Jan Olmstead, are buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, Iowa as are his two uncles, Rick and John Olmstead]
