Evelyn Seiser, 80, Stratford, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000 at the Stratford Care Center. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Oakwood Cemetery, north of Stratford with Rev. John Grebner officiating. There will be no visitation and arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral Home.

Evelyn Winnifred Pederson, daughter of Carl and Minnie Ostlund Pederson, was born March 15, 1919 at Duncombe. She was educated at the Washington Township rural school. On Nov. 25, 1936 she married Milton Harrison Seiser. The couple resided in Webster City and then moved to Stratford in May of 1959. She was a homemaker. Mr. Seiser died in November of 1989.

Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Lyle and Pat Seiser of Stratford, grandchildren Wade Gene Seiser, David Seiser, Marilyn Lawrence, Nancy Jesse, Sandy Thomas and Lyle Wade Seiser; 14 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Milton Seiser, Jr., in 1994, her parents, brothers John, Nels and Raymond Pederson, sisters Mabel McConnell, Esther Boicourt and Agnes Nelson.

She attended the Washington Lutheran Church in Duncombe in her youth and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City for many years.
