Dean E. Seiser, 77, Webster City, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999 at the Hamilton Hospital. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Kem officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and after 8:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #191.

Dean Elston Seiser, son of Charles and Fern Berogan Seiser, was born August 16, 1922 on a farm near Webster City. He attended rural schools and graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster City in 1941. He started farming with his father. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army-First Calvary with the occupational forces in Japan. Following his discharge, he returned to Webster City. On Sept. 27, 1950 he married Ruth N. Jansen at First Baptist Church in Webster City. The couple raised sheep and farmed west of Webster City.

Survivors are his wife, Ruth, son and daughter-in-law, Loran and Janet Seiser, daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Aubrey Dunbar of Adel, Debra and Mark Palmer of Fulton, MO., grandchildren, Garth and Alyce Dunbar, Kirt, Justin and Keri Seiser, sisters, Charlene McKee of Webster City, Maribeh Hill of Stanhope, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son Larry Dean Seiser in 1968 and his parents.

Mr. Seiser was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, trustee and head usher, a member of the American Legion #191, driver for Meals on Wheels, a charter member of the Diamond K Kiwanis Club, member of RSVP, Hamilton County Farm Bureau, Hamilton County Lamb Producers and a former member of the Mid-Iowa Lamb Producers.
