Dorothy Jensen, 78, Webster City, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999 at Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell with Rev. Dale Peterson officiating. Visitation will be Friday after 3 p.m. at Becker Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the Jane Young House in Webster City.

Dorothy Ellen Williamson was born near Story City Sept. 5, 1921 to Lewis and Christina Rainerson Williamson. She grew up in Boone, graduating from Boone High School. On Nov. 26, 1976, she married Mervin Jensen in Boone. She retired in 1986 from the National Animal Disease Laboratory in Ames after 20 years of service. They moved to Webster City from the Stanhope area in 1987. She was a member of the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell and Bethesda Lutheran Women. She was an active member in the Webster City Women's Club and served as president there from 1991-1992. She was also a member of the First State Bank Prestige Club in Webster City.

Survivors are her husband, Mervin, Webster City, two daughters, Karin Twit of Des Moines and Barbara Gingery of Ankeny; three sons, Lawrence Eckley of Hayward, CA., Michael Eckley of Fort Dodge and Stanley Eckley of Lincoln, NE.; a step-son Archie Jensen, Rochelle, IL.; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Agnes Williams of Council Bluffs and Helen Davidson of Russellville, AR.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Eckley in 1972, a son Ronald Eckley in 1997, four sisters, Bertha Jensen, Amanda Miller, Louise Smith and Margaret Hoveland; and one brother, Lester Williamson.
