Orville "OC" Elsberry, 88, Webster City, died Wed., Nov. 10, 1999 at Southfield Care Center in Webster City. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Kem to officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Orville Clarence Elsberry, son of William and Matilda Carlson Elsberry, was born Sept. 25, 1911 at Ogden. He attended rural schools in Boone County. On March 14, 1942 he married Jennie Layton at Fort Dodge. He worked for United States Gypsum in Fort Dodge. For 10 years he worked at Dolliver Park in the custodial area. He retired in 1974. He then worked part time at Graceland Cemetery in Webster City. He had resided at Lehigh until 1956, when he moved to Boone. In 1970, he moved to Webster City.

Survivors are his daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Robert Strunk, Nancy and Delmar Wiener and Karen and LeRoy Strunk, all of Webster City, Sylvia and Martin Strom of Council Bluffs, sons and daughter-in-law, Norman Elsberry, Gary and Betty Elsberry, all of Webster City; 20 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, sisters Frances Enquist of Des Moines, Mae Wright of Portland, OR., sister-in-law Marie Elsberry of Bethesda, MD., nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lola Elsberry, son Dean Elsberry, brothers Russell and Donald Elsberry and sister Margaret Wright.
