Elizabeth Hazel Culmer, 92, Ashland, OR., died July 17, 1999 at Rogue Valley Medical Center, Medford, OR. Memorial services were held Tuesday at the Mountain View Cemetery with Rev. Brenden McAnerney officiating.

Elizabeth Neff was born May 6, 1907 at Farley, IA. She married Clifford Culmer on June 24, 1931 at Webster City. The couple moved to the Rogue Valley in 1931 from Iowa. She worked as a telephone operator for Pacific Bell retiring in the mid 1960's. Mrs. Culmer was a member of our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church in Ashland. She was also a member of the Upper Valley Community Club in Ashland and the Lady Elks.

Survivors are two sons, Charles Neff Culmer of Ashland, OR., and Clifford "Pat" Culmer of Medford, OR., a daughter, Carita Marie Culmer, Phoenix, AZ., eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Catherine Pitts, Conga Park, CA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and one great-grandchild.
