Lucille E. Vegors, 77, Webster City, died Feb. 26, 1996 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Faith United Methodist Church, with Dr. Charles Smith and Rev. Mike Morgan officiating. Burial will be at the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at Foster Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Tuesday until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, when the casket will be taken to the church.

Lucille Evelyn Bell, daughter of John and Minnie Robinson Bell, was born July 18, 1918 on a farm north of Blairsburg. She graduated from Webster City High School in 1936. She taught for four years at the White Fox rural school and one year at Oak Glen rural school. On Aug. 19, 1941 she married Keith Vegors in Princeton, Mo. The couple farmed west of Webster City. They moved to Webster City in November of 1968. She was associated with Vegors Livestock as a bookkeeper.

She is survived by her husband; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and William Peterson, Iowa City, sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Carolyn Vegors, South Lake, Texas, Kenneth and Susie Vegors, Scottsdale, Ariz., six grandchildren, Brent, Leigh Ann & Jenelle Peterson, Tom Luong, Jay and Anne-Marie Vegors, sisters, Dorothy Grove and Ada Janson, both of Webster City, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Wilbur, John R and Melvin Bell; and a sister, Beulah Schroder.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and Faith United Methodist Church. She served on Asbury's Memorial Committee and the administrative board and was also a member of United Methodist Women and Wall Street Neighbors.
