Dorothy Westrum, 64, of Stratford, passed away at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, on Sunday morning, August 1, 1993 due to cancer.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 4 in the South Marion United Methodist church in Stratford, with Rev. Sue-Ellen Sherman officiating. Interment was in the South Marion Cemetery south of Stratford.
She was born June 13, 1929 in Boone, Iowa the daughter of Albert and Erma (Huffman) Gill.
On May 31, 1947 she married Gerald Westrum at Boone, Iowa.
Dorothy had been employed in the housekeeping department of the Boone County Hospital in Boone, and more recently with CDS of Stratford. She was a member of the South Marion United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald of Stratford; a daughter and son-in-law Norine & Ron Powell of West Bend, Iowa; two sons and daughters-in-law Mark and Cindy Westrum of Stratford, and Matt & Debbie Westrum of Stratford; and ten grandchildren. she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Stratford was in charge of arrangements.
