Martha T. Vinson, 78

Martha T. Vinson, 78, Stratford, died at her home on Saturday, January 9, 1993. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 13, 1993 at the Stratford Lutheran Church. Burial was in the South Marion Cemetery.

Martha T. Quast was born on June 18, 1914 in Gaylord, Minnesota the daughter of Henry and Anna (Gehrke) Quast. On January 12, 1937 she married Lester Vinson at Gaylord, Minn.

The Vinsons lived in Gaylord until moving to Stratford in 1949. She was an employee at the Stratford School as a cook and later worked at East Side Cafe until retiring.

She was a member of the Stratford Lutheran Church.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband in 1979, two sisters and one brother.

Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Susanne and Trevor Carlson, Stratford; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Stephen Vinson, Boone; and Joseph and Phyllis Vinson, Marshalltown; and six grandchildren.

Stark-Welin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
