June 17, 1959John S. Sonksen Dies On Tuesday
Word has been received of the death of a former Stratford resident, John S. Sonksen, 68, who died Tuesday, June 16, at a hospital in Pipestone, Minn., where he had been a patient for two weeks.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Melinda Hubner, Pipestone, with whom he made his home; two nephews, Weldon Sonksen of Stratford, and Paul of Los Angeles; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Bertha Sonksen of Los Angeles.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20 at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Methodist church at Stratford, with the Rev. Robert Ruppert in charge. Burial will be at South Marion cemetery.
