Reuben Sealine, 84, rural Stratford, died Monday morning February 11, 1985 at the Boone County Hospital where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. He's been in ill health for the past two years.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Stratford. Pastor Dennis Schoolfield and Pastor Louis Crombaugh will officiate with burial in the South Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City unil 9:30 a.m. Thursday at which time the casket will be taken to the church.

Reuben A. Sealine, son of Oliver and Charlotte Samuelson Sealine, was born October 19, 1900 at Stanhope. Reared and educated in the area, attending the rural school there. He was united in marriage August 25, 1926 to Edna Nelson and they resided on a farm southwest of Stanhope until 1977 when they retired and moved to an acreage on the east edge of Stratford.

He is survived by his wife; three sons and one daughter, Donald, Dexter, Iowa, Mrs. Jim (Charlotte) Jensen, Arvada, Colorado, Clinton, Boone, Nyle, Princeton, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; a brother and a sister, Arnold Sealine and Mrs. Esther Jenkins, both of Stanhope; several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by a grandson, his parents, two brothers, two sisters and one sister who died in infancy. He was a member of the Church of God. He was active as a 4-H leader for 25 years.
