Abby Lynn Coster, 49, Ellsworth, died on Dec. 16, 2018, while in Greece. Visitation on Thursday, Jan. 3 from 5-7 p.m., at the Community Church of Kamrar. Funeral Service are Friday, Jan. 4, 2019 at 10:30 a.m., at the Community Church of Kamrar. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home to care for their needs.

Abby Lynn Coster, 49, of Ellsworth, died on December 16, 2018, while in Greece. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, January 3, 2019, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, at the Community Church of Kamrar. Funeral Service will be on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 10:30 AM, at the Community Church of Kamrar. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Abby was born on November 25, 1969, in Streamwood, Illinois to John and Marilyn (Deering) Nielsen. She attended school in Streamwood, graduating from the Streamwood High School. She met Dan Coster while working at the USDA Lab in Ames. The couple was married on June 20th 1992. After their marriage, Abby worked outside the home until she became a mom and then homeschooled their six children.

Abby was a member of the Community Church of Kamrar. She enjoyed woodworking, which included making trim for the home and cabinets, and also making a rocking Zebra. She was an accomplished musician, enjoyed playing the violin and flute, and giving violin lessons. Abby also enjoyed sewing clothes and costumes for her family.

Abby’s family includes her husband of 26 years; children: Zachary, The Emily, Thomas, Katherine, Grace, Liesl; her parents; brother John (Kim) Nielson; and sister Julie (Bob) Mattingly.
