Everett Tolstrup, 96, Webster City, died, Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018 at Southfield Wellness Community. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 at Faith United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is 4:30-6:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is caring for the family.

Everett Tolstrup, 96, of Webster City, died, Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Southfield Wellness Community. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Faith United Methodist Church with Pastor Peggy Ellingson, officiating. Burial will follow the services at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the church.

Everett Eugene Tolstrup, son of Arthur and Maggie Hunter Tolstrup, was born October 16, 1922 in Webster City. He graduated from Lincoln High. He married Mary Be Frances Caruth on February 8, 1948 at Ellsworth. The couple farmed northwest of Kamrar. In 1988, they retired and continued to reside on their farm. They moved to Southfield in 2002. Mary Be proceeded him in death on October 16, 2007.

He is survived by his daughters, Donna Van Demark Weldin of Webster City, Glenda (Burton) Cooper of Kanawha, Charma (Martin) Wenck of Iowa City; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Tolstrup of Webster City; sisters, Eleanor (Wilbur) Schumaker of Webster City, Karen Ireson of Denver, CO and many extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; son-in-law, Steve Weldin; sister-in-law, Melba Tolstrup.

Everett was a member of the Kamrar United Methodist Church, Community Co Op Board, Kamrar/Stanhope Telephone Exchange Board and the Kamrar Lions.
