Lucille Runyan, 84 days, 0 months, 21 days, of 925 Dryden Street, Stratford, Iowa passed away at the Hamilton County Hospital in Webster City, Iowa on Saturday evening, November 12, 2005.
She was born on October 22, 1921 in rural Stratford, Iowa the daughter of John and Agnes (Anderson) Carlstedt.
On October 12, 1940, she married Clifford C. Runyan at her parents' home in Stratford.
Lucille was a 1939 graduate of Stratford High School. She currently was employed at the Stratford Care Center in the laundry department where she had worked for over 30 years. Lucille enjoyed quilting, crocheting and doing crafts.
She was a member of the South Marion United Methodist Church where she was a very active member.
Her parents and husband Clifford in May of 1996 preceded her in death.
Survivors include 5 daughters Betty Runyan of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, Nancy Runyan of Stratford, Iowa, Colleen Milburn and her husband Richard of DeSoto, Iowa, Linda DeVore and her husband Stan of Chariton, Iowa, Rose Dopita and her husband Mike of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, 4 sons Gene Runyan of Stratford, Iowa, Ed Runyan and his wife Davene of Boone, Iowa Larry Runyan and his wife Kim of Stratford, Iowa, Ron Runyan of Fargo, North Dakota, 16 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters.
Services will be held Thursday morning, November 17th at 10:00 a.m. at the South Marion United Methodist Church south of Stratford, Iowa with Lay Minister Gina Spohnheimer and Pastor Remigio Panlaqui officiating.
Interment will be in the South Marion Cemetery south of Stratford.
Friends may call at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Stratford on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday morning at the South Marion United Methodist Church from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
The family will be present at the Calvary United Methodist Church on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. to greet friends.
Memorials may be given to the South Marion United Methodist Church.
