Inez Peterson, 77, died Monday, November 15, 1999 at Kossuth Regional Health Center, Algona.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Calvary United Methodist Church, Stratford, with the Rev. Dale Schoening officiating. Burial will be in South Marion Cemetery, Stratford. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Harris Funeral Home, Algona, and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the church.

Survivors include husband, Donald, Algona; son Donald Jr., Algona; daughter Marcia Olson, Wells, Minn.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters Yvonne Hamilton, Beloit, Wis., Donna Bronnicke, Minneapolis, Minn. and Barbara Anderson, Webster City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ruth Davenport Burns; son Brian in 1962; and sisters Blanche and Juanita.

Inez Burns was born Dec. 14, 1921 in Wcyauwega, Wis. As a young girl she moved with her family to Iowa and received her education in various locations. She married Donald M. Peterson in 1946 in Fort Dodge. The couple lived in Stratford from 1946-1953, when they moved to Algona. She worked at Coast to Coast Store in Algona for 15 years, retiring in 1979.

She was formerly a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, Stratford and the V.F.W. Auxiliary and presently a member of First United Methodist Church, Algona.
