Funeral services for Brett E. Peterson, 31, Stratford, were held Friday, Aug. 11, 1989 at First Baptist Church, Stratford. Rev. Dale Kelley conducted the 10:00 a.m. service. Interment was held in the South Marion cemetery, Stratford. Arrangements were completed by Stark, Welin Funeral Home, Stratford.

Mr. Peterson passed away Tuesday, Aug. 8 at the Boone County Hospital, Boone.

During the service Art and Bev Sturtz sang, "Amazing Grace" and "Beyond the Sunset" accompanied by Margaret Erickson. Caring for flowers were Rick and Marsha Adams and Harold and Caroline Berglund.

Honorary bearers were Carmen Conklin, Clayton Conklin, Kim Jensen, Clark Conklin, Lynn Peterson, Kevin Rose. Bearers were Richard Jones, Curtis Conklin, Lyle Peterson, Ron Peterson, Dale Conklin, Ed Peterson.

Brett E. Peterson was born on Friday, Nov. 22, 1957 at Des Moines. He was the son of Weldon and Lois (Conklin) Peterson. Brett was a 1976 graduate of Stratford High School. During high school Brett was a member of the Hamilton County 4-H Club. Brett was a member of the Stratford Grain and Supply Coop board of directors.

On Saturday, Nov. 15, 1980 Brett was united in marriage to Cathy Hotchkiss at Stratford. The couple farmed near Stratford.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy; mother, Lois Peterson, Stratford; sister, Mrs. Greg (Trudy) Young, Boone and a niece and nephew.

Brett Peterson, 31, of Stratford, died Tuesday, August 8, 1989 at the Boone County Hospital. Funeral services were held Friday, August 11 at the Stratford Baptist Church, Rev. Dale Kelley and Rev. Paul Welander, officiating. Burial was in the South Marion Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Richard Jones, Curtis Conklin, Lyle Peterson, Dale Conklin, Ron Peterson and Ed Peterson.

Brett Peterson, son of Weldon and Lois (Conklin) Peterson, was born November 27, 1957 in Des Moines. He was a 1976 graduate of Stratford High School and was active in Hamilton County 4-H in high school. He married Cathy Hotchkiss on Nov. 15, 1980 in Stratford. He worked as a farmer.
