Daily Freeman Journal, Webster City, Iowa, Tuesday, January 27, 1931

Mrs. Anna Peterson was born December 9, 1854 in Canada and died at her home south of Stanhope Jan. 19, 1931 at the age of 76 years, 1 month, 10 days. She was the oldest of 11 children. Sept. 5, 1874 she was married to Lewis Peterson. They settled on the home place, south of Stanhope, where she remained until her death. This union was blessed with 3 children, John W. and Edward, both at home. One son died in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death 11 years ago. She was a friend of all churches. She leaves two sisters, Mrs. Delia Andrews and Lillian Oppedahl, of Stanhope.

Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. G.H. Dick, of Stanhope. The Rev. and Mrs. W.C. Strong and son, Webster, of Kamrar furnished the singing.

Burial was made in South Marion cemetery. Pall bearers were: Alfred John and Oscar Erickson, Ole Bekke, Bert Mathre and John Fosberg, the latter of Boone.
