STRATFORD - Emery Peters, 84, of St. Paul, Minn., died at the Boone County hospital Saturday.

Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hanson-Stark-Welin Funeral home at Stratford with Father Sentjens officiating and with burial in the South Marion cemetery near Stratford.

Survivors include his wife, Grace, of St. Paul; one son, Harold Jerome, of Willingboro, N.J.; a daughter, Mrs. John (Doris Arlene) Thomas of St. Paul; three grandchildren and two sisters.

He was born March 18, 1897 in Utica, S.D., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman [Adaline Josephine Barcum] Peters. He married Grace Goens at Yankton S.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters.
