Obituary

MRS. MATILDA NOSTROM

Memorial services for Mrs. Matilda Nostrom were held at the Welin Memorial Chapel, Boone, Iowa, Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1964 with the Rev. Arthur E. Anderson in charge. Mrs. George Rice was organist.

Burial was at the South Marion Methodist Church Cemetery, north of Boone.

Mrs. Matilda Nostrom was born to Olaf and Martha Jones, June 2, 1872 in Stratford, Iowa, and died at the Evangelical Free Church Home, Oct. 25, 1964 at the age of 92 years, 4 months, and 23 days.

She was married to Victor Nostrom March 16, 1899 in Boone, Iowa. To this union five children were born, three sons and two daughters. They made their home on a farm near Pilot Mound. Later they moved to Boone, and in March 1959, Mrs. Nostrom moved to the Evangelical Free Church Home. Mr. Nostrom died Nov. 4, 1948.

One son, Clifford, died May 23, 1964. There is left to mourn her departure Lennes Nostrom of Plymouth, Iowa; Maurice Nostrom of Humboldt, Iowa; Mrs. Edith Shelley of Des Moines, Iowa; and 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Nostrom was a member of the First Evangelical Free Church of Boone for several years.
