Mrs. Hilma K. Johnson, 85, a former Stratford area resident, died last evening at her home Rural Route 4, Boone, following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Mineral Ridge Baptist church with the Rev. George Spencer officiating and with burial in the South Marion cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Schroeder Funeral home in Boone until noon Thursday, when the body will be taken to the church.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by four sons, C. Reuben Johnson of Ames, Delmer G. Johnson of Stratford, Vernon Johnson of Boone and Chief Master Sgt. George H. Johnson of Omaha; two daughters, Mrs. Lester (Ellen) Rosengreen of Anaheim, Calif., and Mrs. John (Ruth) Carpenter, Boone; a brother, Emil Olander of Boone and a sister, Selma Ek in Sweden.

Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gust Johnson, who died in 1966; by her parents; an infant daughter; one brother, Carl; and a sister, Anna.

She was a member of the Mineral Ridge Baptist church.
