Rodney "Rick" Harris, 34, of RR 1, Stratford, died at the Trinity Regional hospital in Fort Dodge Sunday.

Services will be Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m. in the Calvary United Methodist church with the Rev. Richard Russell officiating. Friends may call at the Hanson-Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Stratford Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 until 10 a.m. when the body will be taken to the church. Burial will be in South Marion cemetery south of Stratford.

He was born June 25, 1945, in Fort Dodge, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Harris Jr. Sept. 24, 1968, he married Carol Simonson at Boone. He attended the Stratford Community schools and he farmed [unreadable] of Stratford, where he also made his home.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; three sons, Ryan, Jason and Daron, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Mary Harris, of Stratford; one brother, Gareld Harris of Longmont, Colo.; nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father in 1974.

He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist church and the Stratford Historical Society.
