Gunnar Glad, 69, formerly of Stratford, Iowa passed away at the Community Care Center in Lynwood, California on Saturday morning, November 27, 1999 due to congestive heart failure. He had been a resident at the Community Care Center for the past two years.

He was born on October 18, 1930 in Iowa City the son of Erick and Bessie (Anderson) Glad.

Gunnar attended the Stratford High School in Stratford. As a young boy, he was active in the local 4-H Chapters in Stratford and Stanhope.

He was a member of the Lutheran Church, Izaak Walton League in Stratford, and Pets and Others Doris Day Foundation of Los Angeles, California.

His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by numerous cousins.

Graveside services were held Friday morning, December 3, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at the South Marion Cemetery south of Stratford with Rev. John Grebner officiating.

Stark Welin Funeral Home in Stratford was in charge of the arrangements.
