Esther Gast

STRATFORD – Esther Gast, 82, of Stratford died at the Boone County Hospital Thursday afternoon. Services will be Saturday, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. at the Stratford Lutheran Church with Pastor Calvin Rossman officiating. Burial will be at the South Marion Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hanson-Stark-Welin Funeral Home Friday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Survivors include one nephew, Eldon Monson of Livermore, and one niece, Mrs. Edward (Wilma) Wackholz of Palentime, Ill.

Mrs. Gast was born March 14, 1896 in Stratford, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl John [Charlotta Anderson] Carlson. She was married to Fred Lynde and to Dorsie Gast, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and five brothers.

She was a member of the Stratford Lutheran Church.
