Hazel Erickson, 82, of Stratford, died Tuesday, June 5 at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames.

Mrs. Erickson was born on June 11, 1896, in Stratford, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John [Lorena Ferlen] Poulson. On July 19, 1922, she married Paul A. Erickson at Fort Dodge. The family lived in Stratford during their early married life, moving later to Camdenton, Missouri and returning to Stratford in 1970. She was a housewife, a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Stratford and the Avon Chapter 504 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Paul in 1975, and one brother.

Survivors include three brothers, Ellis D. Poulson of Denver, Colorado, Frank F. Poulson of Stratford, and Iven Poulson of Gridley, Calif.; several nieces and nephews.

Services were held on Thursday, June 7 at 1:30 p.m. at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Stratford with Rev. Leland Eyres officiating. Burial was held at the South Marion Cemetery south of Stratford.
