Ms. Erickson Dies at 82

STRATFORD - Mrs. Clara Erickson, 82, died Thursday at the Lutheran Home for the Aged at Madrid. She had been residing there several years.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Stratford Lutheran Church with burial in South Marion Cemetery, Pastor Robert Carlson officiating.

Survivors include three sons, Emil Erickson and Arvid Erickson, both of Stratford, and Waller Erickson, Gilbert, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Tilford (Alice) Enderson, Stanhope, and Mrs. Leonard (Alma) Wing, Lynd, Minn.; one brother, Olof Berglund, and six sisters, Mrs. Gust Erickson, Mrs. Selma Carlberg, Mrs. Anna Anderson and Mrs. Bessie Anderson, all of Stratford, Mrs. Clem Iles of Webster City and Mrs. Hans Knuth of Madelia, Minn.; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nels Erickson. The family farmed in the Stratford community for many years until Mr. Erickson's death after which she moved into Stratford to make her home.

Mrs. C. Erickson of Stratford Dies

South Marion (Special): Mrs. Clara Erickson, 82, died Thursday, May 26, at the Lutheran Home for the Aged at Madrid, where she had resided for some time. The Erickson family farmed for many years southeast of Stratford.

Survivors include 3 sons, Emil and Arvid of Stratford, and Waller Erickson of Gilbert; 2 daughters, Mrs. Tilford (Alice) Enderson of Stratford, and Mrs. Leonard (Alma) Wing of Lynd, Minn.; 1 brother, Olaf Berglund of Stratford; 6 sisters, Mrs. Gust Erickson, Mrs. Selma Carlberg, Mrs. Anna Anderson and Mrs. Bessie Anderson, all of Stratford, Mrs. Clem Iles of Webster City, and Mrs. Hans Knuth of Meedalia, Minn.; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Erickson was preceded in death by her husband, Nels Erickson.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 29, at 2 p.m. at the Stratford Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Carlson, officiating.

Burial will be at the South Marion Cemetery with the Hanson Funeral Home in charge.
