Born to Mr. and Mrs. Chris Eckstein, Nov. 25, 1910, twin babies - a boy and a girl. The mother and babies are very ill. Later the little boy, John Irven, died at 3:35 Saturday a.m. and was buried in the afternoon in the Olson cemetery and the mother and daughter are some better, with hopes of their recovery.

Nov. 25, 1910, a pair of twin babies, a boy and a girl, were born to Mr. and Mrs. Chris [Lyra Smith] Eckstein. The mother and babies were all in great danger for a time and the little son, John Irvin, died Saturday a.m. The mother and daughter are better at this writing and all hope that they may survive.

A funeral every day in the week is often in the country but such has something that does not happen very been our lot the past week. The list is as follows: P. L. Peterson of Okahoma, buried in Stanhope; Joseph Listena just over the line in Boone county; A. M. Swanson, Gustaf Anderson and Mrs. John Nelson, buried in Hook's Point cemetery and the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Eckstein, buried in Olson's cemetery.
