Daily Freeman Journal, Webster City, Iowa, Monday, August 18, 1975

Funeral services for Charles Seiser, 84, longtime Webster City area resident, will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Harry T. Ehlers officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Seiser died Saturday morning at the Hamilton County hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks. He had been in ill health the past few months.

Charles Seiser, son of Melchior and Karoline Schuler Seiser, was born Dec. 8, 1880 [headstone says 1890] in McLean county, Ill. He was raised and educated in Illinois.

He was married June 11, 1919 to Fern Berogan and the couple farmed in the Webster City community until 1950 when they moved into Webster City. The family resided at 725 Webster street.

He is survived by one son, Dean E. Seiser of Webster City; two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Charlene) McKee of Webster City, and Mrs. Ross (Maribeh) Hill of Stanhope; eight grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Susan Essig and one brother, Edmund Seiser, both of Webster City.

He was preceded in death by his wife, three grandchildren; his parents, six sisters and one brother.

He was a member of St. Paul's Universalist church and also a member of the Birthday club.
