Peter J. Patrou, age 56, died at 10:15 at Hamilton county hospital this morning where he had been a patient since June 27. He had been in failing health since May, 1953.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Foster Funeral home with Father Nickolas Geotis of Des Moines officiating. Burial will be made in Graceland cemetery.

Peter John Patrou, son of John and Theodora Patrou, was born Oct. 15, 1896 in Havari, Greece. In 1916 he came to the United States locating in Omaha, Nebr. He later resided at Eagle Grove. In 1918 he came to Webster City.

Almost immediately after his coming to Webster City, he applied for his United States citizenship and has always valued this right most highly.

Mr. Patrou was in the restaurant business in Webster City for many years with his brother, the late Theodore Patrou. They operated the former Grant cafe and the Minute Lunch cafe. Mr. Patrou also operated the Little Chicago cafe which he sold in 1943.

After retiring from the cafe business, Mr. Patrou spent his time attending to real estate holdings.

He was united in marriage November 10, 1927 to Nellie Politis. To this union three sons and one daughter were born: John, Theodore, Bob and Elaine, all of Webster City. He is also survived by his wife, two brothers and one sister: George Petropoulas of Chicago, Ill., Nickolas Petropoulas of Greece, and Mrs. Erini Lagos of Greece. Also surviving is one cousin, Andrew Petropoulas of Milwaukee, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Mr. Patrou was a member of the Ahepa Lodge of Fort Dodge and was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Webster City.

The wish of the deceased was that no flowers be sent but friends so desiring may make contributions to the Cancer Fund Memorial.
