Daily Freeman Journal, Webster City, Iowa, Thursday, April 15, 1993

Dorothy Eide, 69, Webster City, died April 13, 1993 at her home. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Fosters with Richard Laird officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home until time of service.

Dorothy Evelyn McIntire, daughter of Earl and Lillian (Roberts) McIntire, was born Oct. 23, 1923 in Sedalia, Mo. She moved to Webster City with her parents and was educated in Webster City schools.

On Sept. 11, 1947 she married Curtis Eide at Fort Dodge. The couple resided in Webster City. She had been employed at Morton Frozen Foods and Frigidaire for 19 years. She retired in 1986. Her husband died in November 1982.

She is survived by sons, Jim Wilson of Fort Dodge, Gaylord Eide of Columbus, Ga., Dan and Doug Eide, both of Webster City, Orvie Eide of Duncombe, Dennis Eide of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Elaine Brown of Marshall, Minn. and Linda Wagner of Duncombe; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Weppel of Las Vegas, Nev.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to husband, parents; great-grandson; seven brothers and one sister.

She was a former member of Women of the Moose.
