Mrs. L. Lowell Fowler, 73, died yesterday at Trinity Regional hospital in Fort Dodge.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist church in Rockwell City with graveside services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Graceland cemetery in Webster City.

Mrs. Fowler, a former resident of Webster City, is survived by her husband, L. Lowell Fowler; one daughter, Mrs. Keith Klein of Ames; one son, Charles Mitchell of Colorado Springs, Colo., one step-daughter, Mrs. Ruth Eldredge and one step-son, Jim Fowler, both of Sioux City; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Marvel of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Stanerson [Stannerson] and Miss Lorene Marvel of Silver Springs, Md.

Helen Marvel, daughter of Charles and Sarah Wasson Marvel, was born in Dewey, Ill. and moved with her parents to Webster City where she was graduated from high school.

She also attended Iowa State college at Ames and taught school in Colorado for a number of years.

Feb. 11, 1925, she was married to Harold Mitchell at Webster City, and following their marriage, they farmed in the Webster City area. Mr. Mitchell preceded her in death in 1951 [1952]. She was later employed as a dental assistant in Webster City.

On June 27, 1954, she was married to L. Lowell Fowler at Webster City. Following their marriage they moved to Rockwell City.

She was a member of the United Methodist church, a life member of the United Methodist Women, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and the Legion Auxiliary.
