Shirley Ann Brinkman, 81, of Webster City, died Monday, May 1, 2017, in Ft Dodge Iowa. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, May 7, 2017, from 3-5 PM at Boman Funeral Home in Webster City. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 8, 2017, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) to care for their needs.

Shirley was born on November 22, 1935, to Henry and Dorothy Brinkman. She attended and graduated from the Dows High School. She worked as a telephone operator in Dows for several years before moving to Webster City in 1969. Shirley worked at many different service jobs while raising her three boys.

Shirley was a great cook, enjoyed gardening and was always willing to help friends and strangers alike. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City.

Shirley’s family includes: Her sons Scott Brinkman and Troy Brinkman both of Webster City; grandchildren: Kristin (Cory) Sweazey of Ames, Josh (Jessi Miller) Brinkman, Zachary (Jennifer Redenius) Brinkman, Aaron Brinkman, Sarah Brinkman, Kylie Brinkman, and Marisa Brinkman all of Webster City; and 11 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Robbie; and six brothers and sisters.
