Funeral services for Julius A. Peters, 84, longtime Webster City resident, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Arthur A. Oswald officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Peters was found dead at his home Wednesday morning, 820 Stockdale St.

Julius August Peters, son of Louis and Eva Peters, was born March 27, 1885, at Centertown, Mo., and was reared and educated in the Centertown community.

He was united in marriage Dec. 22, 1918, to Mary Wood, at California, Mo. The couple farmed in that community until 1937, when they moved to Webster City.

Mr. Peters was employed for many years with the city of Webster City at the light plant, retiring in 1955.

He was preceded in death by his wife, March 16, 1949; by one daughter, Mary Pearl, who died in 1938; by one son, who died in 1958; by his parents, and two sisters.

He is survived by one daughter and two sons, Mrs. Verle (Evelyn) Kruger and Ralph Vernon and Victor Peters, all of Webster City; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers and two sisters, William Peters of Sedalia, Mo., Leap, Louis and John Peters, Mrs. Alma Francis and Mrs. Sid Lawson, all of California, Mo., and also several nieces and nephews.

He was baptized and confirmed in the evangelical faith.
