Gordon E. Soncrant, 51, 943 Second St., Webster City, died Saturday morning at the Hamilton County hospital. He had been in ill health for the past 5 1/2 months.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Foster Funeral home. The Rev. R.M. Roden will officiate, and burial will be in Graceland cemetery.

Gordon Eugene Soncrant, son of Clayton and Mary Golding Soncrant, was born July 15, 1922 at Kansas City, Mo., where he was reared and educated.

During World War II he served in the medical corps of the U.S. Army.

He was married to Opal (Hope) Casebolt. The couple resided in Webster City where he was administrator of the local hospital.

Mrs. Soncrant preceded him in death Nov. 1970 at Warrensburg, Mo.

On Aug. 22, 1971, he was married to Betty Pringle. The couple made their home in Warrensburg where he was hospital administrator.

Since July of this year they had made their home in Webster City.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; one son, Kerry Soncrant of Albany, Mo.; one daughter, Mrs. John (Sharon) Winders of Warrensburg; a step-son, Lynn Pringle of Tucson, Ariz.; a step-daughter, Becki Pringle of Mason City; two grandchildren, Scott and Jason Soncrant; two sisters, Mrs. Bonnie (Maizie) Johnson of Stockton, Mo., and Mrs. Albert (Jane) Plain of Edwards, Mo.; and a brother, LeRoy Heflin of Kansas City, Mo.

In addition to his wife, Opal, he was preceded in death by a son, Jerry.

Mr. Soncrant was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, the Masonic lodge and the Rotary club.
